Industrial protective clothing is an essential compromise between eliminating potential risks and completing the tasks while accepting certain harms that are inherent in daily working life. It is an essential shield to protect frontline operators from hazardous workplace especially dealing with chemicals, liquid jets, infective agents and others. There are mainly two kinds of protective clothing, namely disposable protective clothing and reusable protective clothing.
Disposable protective clothing are made of non-woven material and intended for limited use.
Reusable protective clothing are made of woven fabrics and meant to last through multiple uses.
It’s important to understand is that when it comes to disposable protective clothing, it must be discarded after being used. You should not wash it or disinfect it and reuse it because that process could damage its protective properties and render the item ineffective.

Instead of arousing healthcare and safety issues immediately or in long-term cases due to ordinary workwear, which might cause negative effects namely lawsuit, compensation, reputation damage etc., ULTITEC thinks that PPE must be tough enough to protect frontline operators to “Act without fear!”.
Since the main goal of PPE is to protect frontline operators, quality is one of the main things you will want to consider before making decision. This is where ULTITEC disposable protective clothing comes into play, which can stand up to the type of use especially for chemical protection with various sizes customized fitted for each frontline operators, ensure clean and free of any harmful residue for workplace safety.
Protective clothing can be used in the industrial field, medical care, and also daily needs. In order to ensure workers’ safety, it is very important to choose correct protective clothing based on environmental hazards.
In Derekduck, we categorize protective clothing into four different categories by its function, which are particulate protection, flame retardant, liquid protection and chemical protection.
– ULTITEC 1000L was applied for Turkey gas plant asbestos removal operation. In this case, those working staffs had to wear a full set of PPE equipment. CE TYPE5 garment can provide good protection against dry particulates hazards. CE EN 1073-2 protection against radioactive particulate contamination particles provide higher protection level and is more suitable for asbestos resistant application.
- In oil and gas industries and chemical plants, while staffs work in these potential flammable or exposure environment; such as maintain cleaning, or handling light chemical dust and liquid, they wear flame resistant garments and hood (ex. Nomex). ULTITEC 1000FR is made by superb SMMS fabric with additional flame retardant treatment (certified by EN ISO 14116 index 1), it is recommended to wear ULTITEC 1000FR on top of Nomex or other index 2 or 3 FRC garments.
– ULTITEC 2000 is widely applied in bird flu infection control operation in Taiwan. Wearing appropriate protecting clothing protects workers from biological hazards or other contamination. Taiwanese authorities had culled more than 1,800 geese to prevent a suspected avain influenza (bird flu) outbreak. ULTITEC 2000 is made of the premium microporous fabric, which offers an outstanding barrier against wide range of chemical liquids, bloods, body-fluid and infective agents.
– ULTITEC 4000 is applied for chemical protection, especially in oil & gas industries. It is fully liquid-proof protective clothing which provides an effective shield when dealing with wide range of chemicals with some pressurized jets risk. The special impervious fabric meets the highest requirement of EN 14126 biological test. All seams are sealed by chemical proof tapes, which reaches protection level type 3.
